Academic issues
The academic world is intellectually challenging as well as mentally stressful. It requires a huge amount of commitment from people who are part of it either as students or members of staff. The pressure deriving from expectations, the type of university post one holds, let alone the study, the continuous updating and the temporal, physical and social limits this environment imposes, can be quite difficult to handle and can lead to emotional, physical or mental distress. My professional support in this area aims at raising awareness on the academic dynamics and on the ways in which they are perceived and lived both on a personal and on a professional level, towards the appliance of behavioural strategies that can be useful for dealing with the academic life.
